Jerry Janda — writer, producer, and co-star of PAINKILLER — has made his sole directorial debut with KAISHAKUNIN, a short film he also wrote and co-produced.
Centering on the story of a samurai’s ghost, KAISHAKUNIN explores honor, betrayal, the nature of truth, and the power of legend. It’s probably also the only samurai ghost film shot in York, Pennsylvania.
Enjoy!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who gave to our crowd-funding campaign, who helped us with screenings (by showing the film or showing up to watch), who reviewed our film, who gave us awards, and who generally supported us over the last 3 years.
If you enjoyed the film, please share with the horror fans in your life.
You have our undying appreciation for everything that you’ve done. When it comes to expressing our gratitude…we can never do enough.
